Virtual animation demonstrating the scale and amazing sites the viewers can expect in the Planet Bar

Pacific7 is producing what is probably the largest filming project currently being undertaken by any British production company.

We have been commissioned by P&O Cruises for the second time to create films for a massive, on-board video wall installation.

Our first project, in 2007, was for the Metropolis Bar on board Ventura for which we filmed the world's most beautiful and exciting cities. Find out how we did it.

Our latest project, the Planet Bar, is even bigger and more demanding.

In April 2010, P&O Cruises' latest superliner, Azura will be launched and one of the exciting on-board venues will be the Planet Bar with its spectacular video wall made up of seven, 105 inch Panasonic plasma screens.

Every night passengers will be able to see incredible natural and man-made wonders from the four corners of the globe.

When completed our film crews will have spent 15 months working in 28 countries across 6 continents.

Filmed on 3 HD cameras mounted on a specially designed tripod.

The images are stitched together in post-production to create a jaw-dropping 200 degree, panoramic field of vision.

When the complete images is shown on the Planet Bar's video wall, the effect is stunning.

Films include: -

  • Planet Orient – filming complete.
  • Planet Australia – filming complete.
  • Planet North America – filming complete.
  • Planet Europe – filming in progress.
  • Planet India – in pre-production.
  • Planet Africa – in pre-production.

When you work with brands of this nature it's all about the craftsmanship. They wanted P7 to fly to Geneva and spend 5 days filming the making of the Duomètre à Chronographe.

Hand made watches of this precision almost defy belief. And it isn't until you watch a film following the construction process you fully understand the level of detail.

The film is designed to demonstrate that commitment to excellence and the reason why they chose Pacific7.
